When should you take Proviron?

Proviron is generally used as an anti-estrogen medication for preserving gains upon a cycle. But it should not be overlooked for its other uses, particularly the off-season bulking cycle. Remember that Proviron itself has no anabolic effects but does possess strong androgenic properties which are always desirable during the off-season.

In fact, during the off-season is when you will likely combine Proviron with a very potent androgen such as Dianabol or Anadrol. If this is your plan, then use of Proviron in conjunction with these two anabolic steroids would be quite effective for promoting gains. The reason being that testosterone’s affinity for receptor binding is far greater than that of either Dianabol or Anadrol; thus, when using these drugs your natural testosterone levels will be suppressed more by the combination than with any one of the three alone.

Proviron would then be used to alleviate this problem and make for a smoother ride throughout the cycle. While taking Proviron during the bulking phase you will not notice a dramatic increase in muscle mass nor strength, but it will prove to be an invaluable asset, nonetheless.

Proviron is most commonly used as part of a cutting cycle where its androgenic properties are not desired. In the off-season, however, you need all the added androgen you can get as this will promote greater gains. It is generally recommended that you not exceed 50mg ED throughout the day. This is because anabolic steroids lower your natural testosterone levels and Proviron will only exacerbate this problem. Of course, if this is part of a cutting cycle then estrogen control should be of primary concern and thus Cytomidrol or Letrozole may prove more beneficial to you.

What is the proper dosage of Proviron?

As mentioned, Proviron should rarely be used alone. Taken in conjunction with Dianabol, Anadrol or other very potent anabolic steroids it may prove quite valuable; but remember that its efficacy is not guaranteed; results will largely be dependent on how well your body reacts to these compounds. If you are deficient in natural testosterone levels then the addition of Proviron will prove beneficial, if you are not then it will likely do little.

What we can say for certain is that the off-season bulking phase is when Proviron shines and therefore this is when you should administer it. A 50mg dose EOD may be all that’s necessary; but 100mg per day will prove far more effective. In fact, for this purpose 100mg per day would be optimal if coupled with a very potent androgen such as Dianabol or Anadrol. Of course, there are those who will want to add it on during the cutting phase but its efficacy in these cycles has never been proven.

How long should you take Proviron?

Proviron is generally only taken for a few weeks at a time as an anti-estrogen medication. Beyond this point its efficacy is largely diminished and it will begin to cause problems. However, for the off-season bulking phase a month should be sufficient but there is no reason that you cannot run it longer. In fact, if Dianabol or Anadrol will be in your cycle for a lengthy period of time then you should keep Proviron pills in your program to combat estrogenic effects that will be produced by these compounds.

When the bulking phase comes to an end and you begin your cutting cycle, if an anti-estrogen is needed Proviron would again be a wise choice. However, beyond this point during the cycle its efficacy will go down as natural testosterone levels will no longer be suppressed. It should also be noted that the addition of Proviron may inhibit fat loss to some degree but more likely it will simply prove to be a very expensive estrogen blocker. This is not something you want when your natural testosterone levels are at their peak, therefore, only the final few weeks of an 8–12-week cycle should see Proviron present in your plan.
